You may have seen wax melts in retail stores, online or trending on social media and wondered what on earth are they and what do you do with them?
Everyone wants their home to smell lovely and wax melts are an inexpensive way of allowing beautiful fragrance to fill your home and with so many different fragrances available the options are endless.
So, what is a wax melt?
Wax melts are scented pieces of wax, without a wick, that are melted in an oil burner to release fragrance to fill your home with your chosen aroma. Our wax bars contain 10 cubes of fragranced wax and as only 1-2 cubes of wax are required each bar lasts approx. 60 hours for just £2.95 per bar!! This makes wax melts an inexpensive way to fill your home with amazing fragrances.
How do I use them?
You will need an oil burner to melt the cubes of wax, these are either tealight ones or electric ones. Tealight burners tend to throw off a stronger scent, however plug in ones might be safer if you have young children or pets. Oil burners come in different sizes and can hold different amounts of wax, so to begin with use only 1 cube of wax and if there is plenty of room once that has melted you can add another cube, but usually two cubes would be a maximum.
Before using your wax burner each time, check it for any cracks or damage. Place the cube(s) into the top of the oil burner, light a tealight or plug it in/switch it on and wait for the aroma to fill your home. Never leave an oil burner unattended and follow the safety guidance on our FAQ page at all times. We recommend you only ever use 4 hour tealights as longer burning ones can damage your wax and oil burner as it makes it too hot.
Every time you use your burner the scent fades and so after around 4-5 burns (16-20 hours) your wax will need changing. With lots of different wax melts available you will never tire of fragrances to fill your home.
