Wax Melts & Warmers

What's difference between wax melts and candles?

Wax melts are individual cubes of wax that are burnt in a warmer, without coming into direct contact with the flame. Because the wax melt does not come into contact with a naked flame, the scent throw is greater than a candle.

What's the difference between a tealight burner or an electric burner?

An electric burner simply requires switching on.  Whereas a tealight burner requires a fresh tealight to be placed beneath the wax inside of the burner each time of use.  Keep using new tealights until you can no longer smell the fragrance.  Ensure you only use 4 hour tealights and not maxi (8 hour) ones.

I’m new to using wax melts, what do I do?

Place 1-2 cubes into the top of your burner, put a tealight below and light, allow the wax to melt, filling your home with fragrance.  Ensure all windows are closed and burner is placed in a safe place out of draughts and away from any flammable objects such as soft furnishings.  Always place your burner on a heat safe surface and keep out of the reach of children or pets.  Never leave a burning candle unattended. Never eat a wax melt.

Can I mix wax melts together?

Should you want to create your own unique fragrance it is possible to add one cube of one fragrance with one cube of another as you choose (providing your burner can hold two cubes of the melt bar in total – if it is a mini melter and can only hold one cube then this will not be possible).  Here are some fragrances you could try – Flower fragrance mixed with cotton fragrances.  Fruit scents go well with Vanilla.  The possibilities are endless.  Have fun and please share your combinations we love feedback!

How to clean your wax burner?

There are several ways to clean your burner, however, here are a few ways for you:

1. If you wish to clean your burner we recommend using a cloth, warm water and washing up liquid. Please ensure that the burner has cooled down completely, is not plugged-in or lit whilst cleaning.

2. Once the wax is spent, wait until the wax cools and then gently place pressure on one end of the wax until it pops out. You could also use cotton balls/pads to soak up melted/molton wax and then dispose accordingly. Do not use wipes and/or cleaning chemicals/products to clean the burner. Do not use metal or sharp objects to clean out wax as this may crack or damage the burner or cause injury.

Safety Tips

  • Always use a burner designed for wax melts.

  • Check your burner regularly for cracks or damage before use.

  • Use 1 regular sized (4 hour) unscented tealight in your burner and do not add water.  DO NOT use maxi tealights.

  • Always keep out of reach of children and pets at all times.

  • Always keep in sight when burning. Never leave a lit tealight unattended.

  • Keep away from draughts.

  • Always pay attention to the safety information on the packaging.

  • Always keep your burner on a stable and heatproof surface away from fire hazards.

  • Remove all packaging before placing wax in your burner.

  • Use a suitable amount of wax for the size of your wax burner. Do not overfill, 1-2 cubes should be enough.

  • Do not attempt to move your wax burner while burning.  Remember even after use the wax and burner will remain hot for some time so allow to cool before touching/moving.

Reed Diffusers

I’m new to using reed diffusers, what do I do?

Remove the plastic cap/stopper from the diffuser bottle. Place your reed sticks in the fragrance oil and allow them to sit for one hour. Then flip the reeds over to saturate the top part of the reeds that stick out above oil level. This helps to speed up the process of the oil soaking up from the bottom diffusing through the entire reed.

Expect a light fragrance to start perfuming your room within 24 hours.

We recommend turning your reeds 1-2 times per week
